# Visibility
Visibility means the ability to access or no access to a function or variable in solidity. In solidity, state variables and functions have to declare whether they are accessible by other contracts.
# Visibilities properties:
- public - can be accessed by any contract and account can have access to it or call it
- private - can be accessed only inside the contract that defines the function
- internal-can be accessed only inside the contract that inherits an internal function
- external - only other contracts and accounts can call
Solidity state variables can be declared public, private, or internal but not external.
